PD Trip 3rd to 4th February 2006

The time was 11.30am…I took a huge black bag out of the store room and started packing all the essential things for……Rusty……yesssss …Rusty was goin on a trip to PD and i was a bit nervous thinking of the journey he would have to endeavour. “You look like your packing his bag for a school trip” my sis blurted out. Hahaha….true.. it did feel so. It took me a whole good half hour to get everything packed, from his towel, shampoo, comb, treats, food(which needed to be pounded because he is teething), newspapers, leash, cotton buds, toilet roll, water, water bowl and food bowl. Gosh!!! it is like a school trip isnt it??! Well i soon started packing my things. Soon we loaded up the car with all the food, drinks and our bags. We left for my aunts place in Subang at about 1.30pm. We met up at her place and left together for PD in two cars. Two families went for this trip. My aunty, uncle, 2 cousins (Van and San), and their darling doggie Jewel (she’s got beautiful black marble eyes) and my family (mom, dad, Gowri aka, Rusty Boy and I). My cousin (Deepz) from Klang said she would join us later that night. We booked a bungalow about 200m from the beach. It had a bbq pit, a nice big yard, kitchen, living area, tv with vcd player and 5 rooms, all airconditioned. All that for RM350!!! I called up prior to booking and asked if pets were allowed. They didnt mind as long as we clean up after our furkids.

Rusty slept most of the trip. We got lost a couple of times but we finally made it to our destination. We got into the bungalow and settled our furkids but alas! They didnt get along very well. One of them barked and that was it! It started a war of barks!! Jewel has a very high pitched bark whereas Rusty’s is rather low and loud. One bark from Rusty and you will get five barks from Jewel. Unfortunately,we had to seperate them.

Img_1005_3We relaxed, had tea… and just when the sun wasnt too hot, we decided to go to the beach but down came the rain and blessed us all! Ahhhhh! So instead we started the bbq infront of the entrance to the bungalow under the car shade. Our parents attended to the bbq while we cousins went off to Seremban to pick up another cousin of mine (Deepz)from the KTM station. When we got back….dinner was served…yessss aahhhh we had…chicken marinated in a special tandoori marination, lamb, prawns, fish, tauhu and sausages….and yes i got stuffed. Haha. …and there was more for breakfast! Rusty had his dinner too. We all sat and chatted for a while before adjourning to bed at 2am. Rusty slept with us and Jewel slept with my aunty and uncle. We made a bet to wake up at 630am and watch the sunrise…but…nahhhh..didnt happen…hehe…

Next morning we were up and awake by 7.30am, ready for the beach!! I got all our things and we were off…. The road infront of the bungalow lead us to a narrow pathway. Passing threw this pathway i had to carry Rusty (mind you he is 9 kg!) simply because there was rubbish everywhere, and this little vaccum cleaner of mine will suck up anything he finds on the ground. The sea wasnt very rough. The waves were rushing in calmly. We had Rusty on a leash and slowly tried persuading him to get into the water. He slowly obliged, going deeper and finally started paddling through the water with his head held up just above the surface of the water. We showered him with encouragement but he decided to head back to the beach. We tried this several times until he was tired so i gave him piggy back rides…. Jewel on the other hand was afraid of getting into the water, she would only allow her paw to get wet. We werent in the water for very long as there were some kind of insects biting us. We decided to head back to the bungalow at about 10am to have a shower and have our breakfast.Check out time was at 12pm. Rusty slept like a baby the whole trip back home and continued his sleep at home.I’ve never seen him so tired.Img_1017_1

Well, i think we had a wonderful trip and i’m glad our furkids had a good time! I am looking forward to our next trip…..
